Nagaland Teacher Eligibility Test ( N-TET)

In accordance with the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi laid down the minimum essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher. One of the pre-requisite qualifications in various Government and Private schools is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to ensure that person recruited as teacher possesses the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the Primary and Upper Primary level.
