State level seminar on development of Nagaland state curriculum framework Organized by SCERT Nagaland
The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) Nagaland organised a one-day state level seminar on development of Nagaland state curriculum framework on July 13 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima. The inaugural programme started from 9:30 AM onwards.
The seminar was addressed by Chief Secretary J Alam and Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary for School Education & SCERT.
Chief secretary J Alam has called for fixing the problems plaguing the State’s educational system and stressed that State Curriculum Framework (SCF) should lead to a positive outcome when developed. Alam claimed that SCF would contribute to improving the quality education and producing good citizens by impart values and right knowledge to students.
Keynote address was delivered by Chumchanbeni Kikon, Director SCERT. Technical sessions on different subject areas of the state curriculum framework was also delivered by renowned academicians and eminent educationists, teacher educators. About 300 participants attended and hold a crucial deliberation on various academic subject matters relating to the state curriculum framework.
During the seminar, sessions on curriculum framework for school education, teacher education, adult education, issues and challenges, and future courses of action were also taken up.
Meanwhile, NBSE, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, Directorate of School Education Nagaland, Higher Education Nagaland, Colleges, ANSTA officials, private school association and interested individuals joined the seminar.
